Thursday was quite the day for Nintendo and everyone inside the Mushroom Kingdom with the announcement that three of the most iconic games ever to come from the minds of Nintendo will be coming out of the pipes and on the Nintendo Switch in an exclusive three-pack – Super Mario All-Stars 3D.

Inside this three-pack will be the game that arguably placed the Nintendo 64 on the gaming console map and Mario’s first trip ever in the 3D World Super Mario 64. The game that allowed Mario and gamers all over the world to clean up Isle Delfino with their trusty F.L.U.D.D machine and Marios debut on the Nintendo GameCube Super Mario Sunshine. Lastly, the game that took Mario all over the galaxy literally and introduced the world to Princess Rosalina while debuting Mario on the Nintendo Wii Super Mario Galaxy.

The three-pack will be available in both the digital and physical formats on September 18 at all major retailers including Best Buy and Target, and can even be pre-ordered as we speak on Amazon. Now keep in mind that effective March 31, 2021, this collection will no longer be available. so it will be a limited release and very possibly a collector’s item in the future.

This will be the first time that we have seen a Mario all-stars in a while. The first Mario all-stars collection debuted way back in 1993 for the SNES which as of today is available for play on the Nintendo Switch online service. The collection will also include optimized visuals and controls for both the standard Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite systems.

Now as if playing three of the beloved titles from the mushroom kingdom wasn’t enough, Nintendo also announced that with your pre-order and buy of the all-stars collection, fans will be eligible to score a collectible pin set that features pins from Super Mario Brothers 1-3, World and Mario 64. To get all five pins in the set, Nintendo is going to send gamers on an adventure where they have to complete five separate missions to complete the set including pre-ordering the game.

Super Mario All-Stars 3D - Super Mario Sunshine

To cap off the day Nintendo had another mushroom and tanooki suit up their sleeve by announcing Super Mario All-Stars 3D a brand new battle royale style game featuring original Mario levels and character designs from classic Mario titles. Adding to the fun all players will be given the same stage and on top of survival will have to defeat enemies such as Gumbas and Pirrana Plants while trying to survive.

Extra power-ups however will be available to help in the battle with those enemies and other Marios. it’s almost like two games in one with Super Mario All-Stars 3D.

Rather you grew up playing the all-stars collection your first-ever battle royale. The Mushroom Kingdom sure will have those flight suits ready as you take the adventure in the next couple of months. Just don’t forget your hats, overalls, and stars to Bowser’s castle.

Super Mario All-Stars 3D will be a free download that will be available exclusively for members on the Nintendo Switch Online on October 1, 2020, and available for play until March 31, 2021.
