If you’ve been waiting for more info on Tarsier Studios’ sequel to Little Nightmares, Little Nightmares 2, you’re in luck. As part of the 38 games scheduled to appear during this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, Geoff Keighley has revealed the stealth horror game is going to be one of them.

Last year we revealed @littlenights at @gamescom Opening Night Live.

This year, don't miss the world gameplay premiere of Little Nightmares II during the show!

Revealed last year at Gamescom, this year is taking it a step further from the meager reveal to a full-fledged gameplay reveal. No doubt, it’ll be vastly similar to the prequel title. That being said, the actual game is decently shrouded in mystery.

Little Nightmares put you in the shoes of Six, a little girl who had to trek through the Maw, a ship full of obese rich folk desperate for something to stuff their faces with. All the while, you have to sneak past the colorful crew included the twin chefs and short, blind janitor. Don’t let the description fool you, though, it isn’t a game that’s free from horror, it has a great deal of psychological horror.

Originally, Little Nightmares 2 was scheduled to come out in 2020, but we haven’t heard much in terms of specifics for a while. If we had to guess, it’d probably either be around Holloween or – possibly – even pushing to an early 2021 launch.

Gamescom Opening Night Live is scheduled to kick off on September 27 at 11 AM PT/2 PM ET. Aside from Little Nightmares’ sequel, we’ll also get a premiere look at Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
