In a not too surprising twist, Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is slated to appear during Gamescom Opening Night Live. Among the recent surges of confirmed and speculated games coming to the event, Treyarch and Raven Software put to rest the speculation as Opening Night Live host Geoff Keighley teased its appearance.

At this moment, it isn’t instantly clear what this premiere is going to entail. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is going to share the stage with 37 games including the next season of Fall Guys and an update on the development of Mafia: Definitive Edition.
Fans have been waiting for the game to finally reveal itself. Seemingly thanks to recent events, Activision may not have felt the time they normally reveal games would be appropriate. So, they bit their tongues and waited, of course, this could’ve also been planned, too.
Whatever it is, hopefully, for the fans’ sake, the trailer is going to be worth the late reveal. Gamescom Opening Night Live is scheduled for September 27 at 11 AM PT/2 PM ET.
