As expected, the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise – Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War – is headed to both current and next-gen hardware. But, it’s looking like it’ll run excellently on the next-gen hardware, perhaps that’s why they feel the need to bump up the price?
According to VentureBeat’s GamesBeat, the game – on seemingly both Xbox Series X and PS5 – will host some pretty significant boosts to its power. Thanks to all the little things Microsoft and Sony have done to improve upon their previous iterations, it’s looking like they’re promising some pretty darn good frames-per-second. If all is right, fans could see 120FPS with 4K resolution.
It’s also supposedly going to feature “seamless transitions” between the cinematics and gameplay, meaning you can kiss those pesky loading screens bye.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is launching to current-gen hardware – PS4, Xbox One, and PC – on November 13 and will launch its next-gen copies once the consoles are on the market.
