Recently, Ubisoft dropped what at first seemed a nice, safe routine patch for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. But it wasn’t long before players took to Reddit and various other outlets of expression to demonstrate an equally annoying and hilarious (depending on who you talk to) bug that saw NPC faces literally freeze with their mouths wide open.
Joking that a serious case of lockjaw must be going around the Viking populace, the bug created quite the stir among the fanbase, with the inevitable demands for it to be fixed rolling in thick and fast. The effect of having facial animations seem to completely vanish during dialogue was unsettling to the faint of heart, with few fans apparently able to see the funny side.
Ubisoft, ever the responsive developers, have answered the call, announcing that the issue will absolutely be fixed in an upcoming patch. Good news for players, but even better news for those poor NPCs that will finally be able to close their mouths and regain their ability to speak properly whenever uttering their dialogue.
