Apple has struck another blow against Epic Games in the ongoing feud between the two companies. After Fortnite was recently banned from the App Store, Apple is now removing support from Epic Games and Fortnite sign-ins. Users for either will no longer be able to use your Apple ID to sign into either account, meaning players are going to have to change their emails. Epic has detailed instructions on their website about how to change this, so players and users shouldn’t be worried about taking a while to figure out what to do.
Users currently have until September 11 before logging in with an Apple ID will be blocked. However, it will still be possible to change the email on your Epic account after this. These actions by Apple will no doubt create even more rage in the Fortnite community and among Epic Games themselves, who have already publicly protested Apple’s actions. We’ll have to wait to see this one play out, but, given that the App Store ban was upheld in court, Epic might just have to roll with it.
